2 wks after Tip Plasty, I'm very worried about a lack of result! Will it get more defined and smaller as time goes on?

Hello, I had an open tip plasty 2 weeks ago! My surgeon informed me that everything went well! The plan was to make my nose shorter (deprojection) and a little leas bulbous at the tip with the removal of some tissue from either side of the nose! At the moment and from the pictures it doesn't look to me as though there is any change at all! I am aware that swelling may play a part in a final result! However in your opinion will it look more defined and smaller as the weeks go on? Thank you in advance!

All of the refinement done with rhinoplasty is initially obscured with swelling. The tip is usually the most swollen and remains swollen the longest. You are very early in the healing process and will not see all the specific refinements for many months. I tell patients that at about six months you will see some definition, but it is not until a year when the skin completely retracts over the new underlying structure that you will see final results.
