Thank you for your question! You don’t have to be uncomfortable and smell the hair burning for Laser Hair Removal to be an effective treatment. The end goal with Laser hair removal is the edema which is hair follicle bumps that may appear red.
Laser hair works by destroying the hair in the follicle located beneath the skin. The end goal in the beginning treatments is perifollicualr edema (where the hair follicles appear to be a little raised and red). As time goes on, the response is not as obvious but that does not mean it is not working.

Absolutely, and that should be expected. It is highly unlikely that the hair in the specific treated area only has one growth cycle. In fact, most areas have several. That’s why patients should expect to need between 6-12 treatments and then occasional touch up treatments.
