I have unsightly red/purple veins on my eyelid, which appeared after a chalazion surgery about a year ago. Is there anything that can be done to get rid of or minimize the appearance of these veins?

Following the administration of a small amount of local anesthetic, each of the tiny blood vessels can be "traced" with a low electrodessication current. When properly done and when just the right current is chosen, the small linear wounds created in this fashion typically heal with barely a trace. Your doctor might consider testing treatment by doing this on just one or two vessels to start, so that he/she and you can gauge the response. Make sure that you consult with a board certified aesthetic physician and not just any medspa hawking the "latest and greatest," relatively expensive laser that will supposedly do the job. The posted pictures show upper eyelid veins and these are very difficult to treat.  I use microneedle radiofrequency but it usually requires multiple treatments and the treatments are uncomfortable.
