How do I best treat this reaction to a lactic acid peel (see photo). I've done about 4 lactic acid peels (55% brand:MUAC) leaving product on for 7 minutes with no problem. Last night I had to wash it off by 3 minutes. I think my mistake was I used Retin-A the night prior. I normally have no acne, smooth skin. What you see in the picture is the reaction. Redness is deeper than what can be seen in pictures. Bumps are calming, but remain red (under skin). How should I treat? Will I scar? Thanks!

Multiple Light chem peels don't do the same as heavier peels but is still helpful. Usually 1-2 medium TCA peels does great for creases around the mouth and eyes. The more the better. sincerely,

I generally advise patients be off of Accutane for at least six months. Peels can be performed before you take Accutane, but please ask your doctor about a suitable waiting time before you start Accutane.
The symptoms of Rosacea are due to blood vessels in the skin. Triggers in the environment affect predisposed individuals causing their skin to overreact and turn red in response to these triggers.
The results of chemical peels are not very predictable.
