Hello, when doing layered treatments with Botox, it's always best to wait until the botox has kicked in. It can take up to 10 days, and Dysport is less for the onset. If the area you are getting botox has nothing to do with the area the threads are going in, ie: forehead for botox and jawline for threads, it will make no difference if you do both the Botox and Threads at the same time.
This question seems to go to the heart of what we call multimodal or combination treatment. In my opinion, you certainly can use Botox, threading, and fillers in combination but it needs to be done in a way that makes sense and that is planned. For example, when performing threading to the neck it may be a good idea to inject Botox into the neck bands (platysmal bands), then wait about 2 weeks before threading to get a tighter neck. This may work in some patients but not well in others. So it really depends on the individual patient. But in my opinion, people tend to get better results with this kind of combination therapy than with threading, botox, or fillers alone.I would recommend seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has experience with minimally invasive procedures such as these as well as with cosmetic surgery to find what on the spectrum is best for you.I hope this helps!
The area that I would want the botox worn off before treatment would be botox in the forehead for a brow lift.
In our office this procedure is done until local anesthesia. There is almost no discomfort during the procedure. This is often surprising to patients but has a lot to do with a person's anatomy and proper technique. The threads are generally placed in the subcutaneous plane (below the dermis...
I use both kinds of threads and have yet to recommend one type over the other. Most of my thread supplies are determined by availability of threads from the company in a timely manner.
Hello and thank you for the Photos, In this situation I believe that more threads are required. I would insert more threads under the chin and to the sides. Best, Oxana Popescu MD
Hi As three lifts can only lift the skin (rather than removing skin in a face lift) there can be some gathering. Mostly this is due to swelling which settles over a few days. This does vary with the type of thread used, for example silhouette soft produces more gathering and dimples than other...
It can take a few days for the swelling to go down after a thread lift. The tightness will soften a bit after this. There can still be some tightness for up to 4 weeks, which is why routine dental work should be avoided for 4 weeks. The tenderness will improve over 7 days, but there can still be...
In my experience with Silhouette Soft threads, the ideal candidate is the person with a skin that is not too thin or too thick and with mild to moderate skin laxity ( sagging) at the jawline.A doctor can also perform the skin stretch test to assess if the patient is suitable for this procedure...
