Profractional. Pinholes, two weeks post.

Its a good sign to have that grid.  It means your technician properly delivered the energy at the right angle (90 degrees).  Unfortunately some people have those dots for many months afterwards and it can't be predicted.  Sometimes a good chemical peel or microlaser peel can correct it.  Or a cleanser that has alpha hydroxy acids. But in the end know they will go away and new collagen will show up. -cr

Sometimes, the holes from the Profractional stay visible even after the skin has "healed".  This will resolve over time.  I don't know how deep your treatment was, but the deeper treatments may take a little longer.  The Profractional works by stimulating a repair process in a deep layer of the skin, so the benefits are gradual and delayed.  I generally tell my patients that it may take 3-6 months to see the full effect.  It also may require more than one treatment.  My recommendation would be to wait a full 6 months before you decide.  If you get some benefit but not as much as you want then a second treatment would be warranted.  

Erbium with Profractional has a long PD and big spot size. This is common,  and should have been addressed before laser treatment. OK, at 2 weeks it is still very early 95% will fade within 3-6 months.
If they persist at 6 months a small hole laser like Thullium driven 1927 and 1550 or diode driven non-ablative lasers can help. 2-3 sessions 3-8 weeks apart. Majority will improve with above treatment. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
