I am male(24) had braces put on about 4 years ago but I noticed a small gap in my front teeth even though I have a permenent retainer. Is is worth getting braces again or should I go a different route? Also how did a gap appear if I have a permenant retainer

Hello,
Sometimes the glue can break down or fall off completely and not notice that the tooth shifted. Have an orthodontist check the glue on the back of the permanent retainer. Also, gap is not too big, you may be able to get a special type of retainer to close if you don't want full treatment. Good luck!
