I would like to fix my teeth and jaw. What should I ask my dentist? (Photo)

I am 19 years old, male. I just realized that my jaw is misaligned (lower jaw i think). My jaw has been locking for about a 2 years now and it really hurts when it locks. Nowadays I have been experiencing mild pain when i open my mouth big. I would like to have a better understanding of whats wrong with me and what I should do/tell my dentist. I would like a wider smile too.

It is obvious from your photos that you have an extremely underdeveloped maxilla. This is a developmental issue best addressed prior to 8 years of age. The bone and teeth do not give proper support to your facial soft tissues. The dark buccal corridors evident on the smile picture are the best...

From the photos, it appears that You have two separate but inter-related problems. 1) teeth that are not aligned (not "straight"). 2) A bad bite where your upper teeth are to far in front of your lowers and most of your teeth don't touch (an open bite). this is a very difficult combination to...

It is unfortunate that you had four teeth amputated and no have these issues that could have been avoided by early expansion. Consider the use of the DNA Appliance it uses very light forces and there is virtually no inflamation which causes pain and resorbtion and/or bone loss. Shortened roots...

Orthodontic treatment will definetely close the gaps and correct the bite.Post orthodontics the crown will be in better shape and the bite will be uniform.
