I'm in my late 30s and have fairly good skin, but I feel that my lower face ages me because of the way my nasolabial structure, chin, and planes of my cheek converge. Could fillers or some other procedure assist with this? Thanks!
Answer: Ultraformer or small amount of cheek filler Your skin is wonderful for your age and whatever treatment you do, my advice is to keep it to the bare minimum. If you wanted to try fillers, you could have a small amount placed into your cheeks for a slight lift and softening of the nasolabial folds, or for a less invasive/non-injectable option you could consider a few sessions of ultraformer for skin tightening. Skin boosters like Volite/rejuran/profhilo are also great for general skin health, anti aging and improving the firmness of the skin.

Answer: Yes, fillers can be helpful Yes, fillers can be helpful for addressing early signs of aging in the lower face. In your late 30s, volume loss and changes in facial structure can create shadows or folds that make the face appear older, even with good skin quality. Strategic filler placement in areas like the chin, jawline, nasolabial folds, and cheeks can: * Restore facial balance and contour* Soften lines or folds* Provide a more lifted and refreshed appearance Other non-surgical options like biostimulatory fillers or skin tightening treatments (e.g., RF-based or microneedling with RF) may also enhance results depending on your specific anatomy and goals. A tailored approach based on facial structure typically yields the most natural outcome.

Answer: Concerns with nasolabial folds Nasolabial folds (NLF) and marionette lines may be caused byvolume loss higher up in the face, under the eyes and the temple area. Before filing the lower face, make sure to have the upper face examined for volume loss. You'd rather fix the problem where it originates rather than placing a bandaid. More often than not, ensuring proper volume correction in the temples and placing just a minimal amount of botulinum to the DAO muscle along the mouth lines can be a great solution to a drooping face.

Answer: Exploring the Benefits of Fillers for Lower Face Aging Concerns Yes, fillers can help address aging concerns in the lower face. Injectable fillers, particularly hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, are commonly used to correct signs of aging such as nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and thinning lips[1][4]. These fillers can also be used to reshape the jawline and improve facial proportions, which may help with the convergence of facial planes you mentioned[2]. HA fillers are effective for several reasons: Reversing Volume Loss: They help restore lost volume in the face, which is a hallmark of aging[1][4]. Improving Skin Quality: By increasing hyaluronic acid levels in the dermis, they can enhance skin elasticity and hydration[5]. Targeted Treatments: Modern HA fillers come in various formulations, allowing for targeted injections into specific tissue planes for more refined outcomes[4]. Other procedures, such as energy-based therapies (lasers, radiofrequency devices), may also be considered in conjunction with fillers for comprehensive facial rejuvenation[1]. However, fillers are a popular choice due to their ease of use and relatively long-lasting results, typically lasting between 6 to 12 months[1]. If you are considering fillers, consulting with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon can help determine the best approach for your specific concerns.
