So I’ve had two bbls, and recently lost 35lbs and this vertical line down my stomach is now so apparent, how do I fix it? Tummy tuck? Or more lipo?
Answer: Abdomen Liposuction will make things worse. You could consider Sculptra filler to help fill in the gap or even fat if you have any left. A tummy tuck will tighten the skin and bringing the muscles together could improve that area, but not remove it.

Answer: Tummy tuck with mesh reinforcement You are an excellent candidate for a tummy tuck. If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Poorly done Liposuction Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction results is more difficult than most people realize. The number of plastic surgeons who truly mastered this procedure are in a small minority. Plastic surgeons, sometimes try to emphasize muscle definition through contouring with aggressive Liposuction. This is sometimes referred to as high definition or etching. When done well, it can look attractive, but when done poorly, it looks artificial and surgical. Liposuction is a permanent and more or less irreversible procedure. Correct and poorly done Liposuction is difficult and often not possible. This is especially true for individuals. Who’ve had aggressive procedures with most of the fat removed. A tummy tuck isn’t going to address your fat distribution. That procedure primarily treats, abdominal skin, laxity, and muscle separation from previous pregnancies. Improving your abdominal outcome is going to be difficult, and only minor improvements are possible, and even this may require multiple procedures. Any attempt at Revision Work can easily make things worse. The importance of properly bedding, a plastic surgeons I have a multiple in person consultations cannot be overemphasized. During each consultation, ask you to provide her to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures of previous patients with similar body characteristics to your own. An experienced provider should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients. being shown a handful of pre-selected images, representing the best results of a providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider or how many of these procedures they’ve actually performed. Considering how much variation there is a Liposuction skills I suggest patients have at least five consultations before choosing providers. The time to be critical of plastic surgeons is during the vetting process, when having in person consultations choosing a provider. Being board-certified, and plastic surgery does not mean somebody has mastered any one single procedure especially not Liposuction. I wish I could be more optimistic in my reply, but your result is fairly permanent. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
