Thanks for your inquiry, I would call your surgeon, but I would not recommend it for my patient. Good Luck with surgery.
Thank you for your question. I see know reason why you could not have a spray tan, but would probably be a better option to wait until after you are healed.Check with your surgeon on his/her recommendations on this. Best of luck.
Since very surgeon has his or her own unique pre and post op protocol, you need to ask your surgeon. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram
Because an infection in the surgical site of a breast augmentation can lead to an infection around the implant requiring its removal, it is recommended that the skin prep at the surgical site be as thorough as possible. Any agents or coatings on the skin that might harbor bacteria or interfere with the skin prep should be avoided. Getting a spray tan one or two weeks before the procedure shouldn't be a problem, but I would avoid spray tanning in the days before your procedure.
I'd ask your PS, however I would advise my patient against doing it. You an consider restarting the spray tan in a couple of weeks with protection over the incision line
Thank you for the question. I think it would be better to get approval from your board-certified plastic surgeon first since we do have different protocols in handling pre and post operation necessities. Best of luck, Dr. Michael Omidi.
Dear Ms. Edie940,Thank you for your information and questions.Proably won't make a significant difference. However I would recommend not to:1) bacteria may be in the spray tan2) antiseptic wash may remove the chemical tan and result in a uneven body tan3) not sure what tanning chemicals are used and potentially alter wound healing/scar formatuoon.I recommend that you check with your chosen Plastic Surgeon who I trust is experienced and Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition ideally they he/she is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery).I wish you my best and success,R. It might be better to wait until after you are healed but .I cannot think of any contraindications to a spray tan. Good luck with your surgery
Will always be attributed to the adhesive that was used to help secure the steri-strips until proven otherwise. If so, its a self-limited problem and will go away with time and the avoidance of putting anything on the areas. But you can experiment and use your steroid cream only on one side a...
Thank you for your question. I can see no harm in taking a multi-vitamin or an herbal supplement at this time.
A fluid collection should not cause fatigue. As well, it is abnormal to spontaneously get a seroma a breast augmentation. Three years out from surgery. Yes, it could be caused by a ruptured implant or a "double capsule ", but a full workup is important to rule out other causes of swollen...
