I got a root canal done several years ago with a white filling placed. After looking online it seems very common for you to get a crown on a root canal tooth since so much tooth structure is gone. I am wondering if a partial crown, specifically an inlay would be an appropriate choice since it is more conservative. The filling is a large part of the top (in the middle) of my tooth but not on any sides of the tooth.

Hi:If you do not get the crown recemented, you bite could change, tooth may get decayed over time and your crown may not fit. It is best to get the crown recemented as soon as possible.Best,Dr. Maddahi
After crown or veneer procedure it is fine to have alcohol judiciously as long as you did not have an Iv sedation procedure or taking any other medications which counter acts with the meds you were prescribed.
