I am looking into doing RF microneedling Intracel and I'm very concerned about possible break out into spots. What are the odds?

ive read reviews where people mention breaking out into spots after the treatment and the esthetician i visited also mentioned that there is a possiblity of breaking out after the treatment. i cant afford to have more than 4-5 days off work. please advise what the chances of breaking out into spots are.

There is a possibility of breakouts after the Intracel treatment, especially if your skin is already acne prone. I always advise my patients to use proper skincare products to help prevent breakouts. I recommend IS Clinical's cream cleanser, Isdin sunscreen and Neova Cu3 lotion for post procedure. Beyond skincare, LED light therapy helps reduce inflammation if you do break out. At our office, we offer 3 LED light therapy treatments complimentary with the procedure so I would consult with your practice to see if they offer something similar. If you are going to an office with an MD and the breakouts are severe, you can request a Zpack which is an antibiotic pack that helps the breakouts subside, especially if you are on a time crunch with work.

Intracel is an effective treatment to improve acne scarring and the texture of the skin.  If you are prone to acne, it is possible to have a minor flare.  The advantage of having treatments in a Cosmetic Dermatologist's office is that she can treat your acne as well to prevent flares.
