I want bigger lips permanently. I read that the beast way to do this is transferring fat to them. Is this true and how much would the average cost be for this procedure?
Answer: Fat transfer to lips Realself has a tab that shows average costs for the procedure. Fat transfer is a viable option for lip enhancement. Fat has risks such as clumping, uneven resorption and asymmetry. We have a technique to break down the fat into a very smooth paste, making it less viscous and more even. This allows more accurate placement of the fat with less clumping. In theory, it should increase the amount of fat staying behind, however, that needs to be determined by studies. We usually recommend fillers initially if you haven't tried it already. Fat should stay permanently after the initial resorption. Best of luck. Answer: How much does a fat transfer to lips cost in toronto? Thank you for your question. Fat transfer to the lips can be an excellent way to enhance with a more permanent outcome. It is suggested that if you have not had a lip enhancement before that you do try a non-permanent filler first to make sure it’s the look that you are looking for.Approximate cost can be around $3000 (including HST) however can cost a bit less when fat transfer is added to an existing surgical procedure (such as liposuction). I hope this helps and best of luck!Dr. K.

Answer: Fat transfer to lips Dear Lisaham, Fat transplantation to the lips can be a very successful procedure especially if the fat is deployed for other areas of facial deflation. A fat transplantation requires a donor site and improve contour of that donor site whether it’s in the submentum, arms, abdomen, hips, outer/inner thigh can also be achieved with completion liposuction after harvesting the necessary fat for transplantation. Fat grafting to the lips requires more work and preparation on the part of the surgeon than off the shelf soft tissue fillers such as Juvederm Voluma and therefore you can expect to pay more. Generally, fat transplantation to the facial areas will cost somewhere between $3,000.00 and $7,000.00 in the City of Toronto depending on the certified plastic surgeon that you see. If you have other areas of facial deflation, such as bridge of the nose, under the eye, high cheek bones, mandibular bordering or temporal hollowing, most physicians and surgeons will not charge more to fat graft those areas in addition to the lips and this can provide further economic, as well as aesthetic benefit. It is important to remember; however, that with fat grafting there’s some degree of unpredictability as not all the fat grafts live. Highly animated areas such as the lips have a lower fat graft take with shorter longevity than less animated areas. The benefit of contouring of the donor site needs to be balanced with the swelling, pain and bruising that may occur. In general, I warn most patients with fat grafting of the lips 10 days of swelling should be expected whereas off the shelf fillers often the lips look quite good the next day. As you can see the decision to undergo fat transfer to the lip can be very rewarding, but also requires consideration of the many variables involved. I hope this information has been of some assistance and I wish you the best of luck. For more information, please review the link below. R.
