1 week post op of gastric balloon; Is it safe to lose this much weight this fast?

I got the gastric balloon placed 1 week ago and have lost 22lbs in this last week. My starting weight was 242lbs I'm 5'9 and am now down to 220lbs. Is it safe to loose this much weight this fast?

A previous bariatric procedure is one of the main absolute contraindications for the placement of a gastric balloon. as for your case, I personally recommend another consultation with your surgeon or a surgeon to evaluate a revision procedure of the previous bypass.
