If I got a breast reduction surgery, how many pounds would be taken off my breasts?

I'm 15 126lb 4'9 and have 38DD breasts. I have terrible back, shoulder and neck pain and I get a lot of unwanted attention from boys and middle aged men and I have gotten bullied by other girls. I've tried excersisng and I lost a couple of pounds but that made my back hurt worse and my breast didn't change just started to sag. I'm in a lot of physical and emotional pain. If I were to get the surgery how many pounds would be removed from each breast??

Insurance companies vary on their criteria. Most insurance companies require about a pound to a pound and a half of tissue to be removed per side in order to qualify as an insurance based procedure.In very large breasted women, three pounds or more can be removed per side.It's generally not the number of pounds but rather creating proportionate sized breasts that is important.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
