Lip augmentation can be performed to reshape the lips in a number of different ways.  Using a combination of traditional and blunt cannula techniques, the lips can be made to look fuller without looking like "duck lips".  Some patients require more volume throughout the body of the upper and lower lip, while others require filling of the vermillion border (similar to using lip liner) to give the lips better definition, while still others benefit from plumping of cupid's bow to restore the natural position of an inverting lip.   Bottom line is, with a skilled injector, you can achieve fuller, more attractive lips without looking ducky.  

The best way to ensure that your lips will look lovely after they are injected with a filler is to ensure that you are treated by an expert injector, preferably by a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon.Each patient's lips are unique and their appearance should be enhanced to look natural.
