Thank you for the question. My bias is not to have permanent objects, (silicone, etc) in the face in general and the lips in particular. Your face will change over time, and typically what you put in may have to be removed. We have taken many implantable devices out of lips. Some will do a nice job on the lip lift. It is a surgical procedure, so it must be taken seriously. My suggestion for now is to continue with the filler. Best to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Otolaryngologist, (ENT). They will help make a plan for you.

There may indeed be longer lasting options for lip augmentation, but the currently available hyaluronic acid fillers provide the best option thus far in lip augmentation. Juvederm Voluma is one such hyaluronic acid which lasts much longer (up to 2 years vs. 1).
