Do I freeze the botox. I was told that it would be less painful if I kept the botox frozen right up until I had the injections. Is this true. I am having botox for headaches.

Answer: Botox Storage Medical Botox for migraines is a very useful and helpful procedure.Usually, my patients receive their medical Botox directly from my office, at the time of the procedure. Some patients do get it from the pharmacy in our medical building, on the day of their appointment, and bring it in immediately, where it is reconstituted by me.Botox needs to be stored in a refrigerator.

Answer: Do you freeze Botox My first question is why in the world are you keeping your own vial of medication? This is highly unusual. This is a drug that needs to be kept in a physician (or injector's) office. Not taken home by patients!! Botox doesn't need to be kept in the freezer anymore, just a temperature controlled fridge. It will make no difference in the injections. You can ice beforehand and that would be better. But you should not be keeping your own vial, period.
