Can Botox cause anaphylactic shock?

It is very rare but there have been reports of allergic reactions to Botox, and anaphylactic shock may be a  form of severe allergic reaction. I recommend you see your injector asap for an assessment.

Yes, Botox Cosmetic has been associated with many allergic reactions inlcuding anaphylaxis. In fact, one death was reported during the trials of the drug, which has obligated the drug company to report it on the drug label. This being said, these are extremely rare events, and I have never seen it my practice or heard it happen to any of my colleagues with years and years of experience using Botox Cosmetic. In general, Botox Cosmetic is a safe product and the side effects are minimal when administered by a licensed physician, nurse, or PA with knowledge and experience with the product.

Botox allergies are rare, but have been reported before.  And yes, it is possible to have anaphylaxis from Botox.
