Hi i am 8 weeks post op and i recently noticed after 6 weeks that the pigmentation around my left areola has loss color is this something that will come back? Thankyou

Pigmentation changes on the areola are fairly common after breast reductions done with a free-nipple technique, but can occur after a pedicled reduction as well. The pigmentation does come back after several months, and will continue to improve over time. If there is a permanent pigmentation change, cosmetic tattooing may help.Thank you for your question!

This is a fairly common occurrence
after breast reduction surgery. Often times this pigment returns to the areola
over time. If not, you may wish to consider cosmetic tattooing. Best regards.

Some areola pigment may have faded or lsot color. This often improves with healing. If not they can always be tattooed a bit.
