I had my lower teeth removed due severe gum recession from periodontal disease. My dentist recommended a lower denture held by implants. When he pulled my teeth, he did the bone grafts. My gums were left open so that they would form to my immediate dentures. I have had to go at least twice a month since to have my dentures adjusted but it doesn't help the pain that feels like it is inside my gums. Should my gums be this lumpy and painful? I haven't had the implants placed because the discomfort.
