Can I use Loctite glue to glue my crown back on.?

Question

My crown broke and most of the tooth with it. It is an upper tooth, next to my front tooth.  My dentist said my only option is an implant, which would be almost 4,000. He glued the tooth back, however it came off again. I travel for the next 3 weeks. Can I use loctite glue to glue the crown back in place? Dental cements off the counter do not work at all.

Do not use glue. This is never a good idea.    Find a dentist to consult with and recement.   Good luck.

It sounds like the tooth inside your crown broke to where it isn't restorable. There isn't much that will hold that crown on. What I've done for a few of my patients in this situation is make them a clear retainer type thing to wear during the day to keep a tooth in place. Loctite may hold for a little while, but it won't hold for long. I would advise against using anything that isn't made for the mouth.

I would not recommend using loctite or any type of crazy glue. These are not designed for living tissue, which a tooth is. Find a dentist who can recement it using a bonding cement.

But you gotta do what you gotta do. Keep in mind, any industrial glue is NOT body compatible and does contain poisonous ingredients. Not advised.
