Do butt implants feel hard?

Question

Once butt implants are placed do they feel hard or somewhat soft and natural afterwards all the time or only during the recuperation? And is there only silicone filled butt implants and difference between semi filled implants.

Buttock implants placed correctly under the muscle, not unlike breast implants, are firm acutely after surgery. Once the post-operative swelling subsides and the muscle and surrounding tissues relax over the ensuing months, the buttock becomes softer. It continues to soften for up to a full year and often ends up feeling like an athletic spotif butt. Again, the key is correct placement under the gluteus maximus muscle and proper implant size/shape selection. Glad to help.

It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal butt image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your buttock will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. Liposuction of your lower back and fat transfer is also helpful as an adjunct to implants. Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon.

Buttock implants are made of a solid but soft silicone elastomer. They are made of a low durometer type of silicone that feels rather squishy and pliable. Most patients when they feel buttock implants are surprised as to how soft they are.
