I’m day 10 post Vaser Chin Lipo/Renuvion combo. I didn’t have a lot of fat to remove and minor skin laxity. Now, at Day 10...my profile is improved but now have a sag below my chin and front view is worse!! Help! Looks great first 5 min after taking off compression and then starts to sag!! Will this get better? Is this left over fat, swelling or just loose skin? Perplexed!

Answer: Chin liposuction recovery--hyperbaric oxygen, venus legacy, exilis Yes, you have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. To improve final results, we will often do a kybella and ultherapy about 4-6 weeks after to get more of an outcome. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

You can see swelling persist for 2-3 months and final tightening results can take even longer - upwards of 6-9 months. Give yourself some time and follow your surgeon's recommendations for postoperative care (e.g. compression, elevation, lymphatic massage). Good luck!

Answer: Undesirable outcome and early postoperative results based on your pictures you do not appear to have been an ideal candidate for this procedure. The primary reason for having a less than desirable profile is a skeletal and balance with a small and lack projection mandible(jaw bone) Perhaps a better procedure would have been a chin implant. I skin tightening procedure may have served you better as well. You really did not appear to have excess fat that needed to be removed. Your results it's a combination of early postoperative swelling together with perhaps overzealous liposuction treatment and someone who may not have needed that procedure.
