Is it possible to fix a dent left from a improperly healed wound?

I woke up one day with a bump on my nose. I thought it was a pimple, but it itched, so I'm assuming I got bit by something. I accidentally scratched it open and it scabbed over. The scab fell off prematurely and there was a gash left under it. I thought it would heal, but it's been 2 1/2 months and the dent is still there. I wasn't sure if it was still healing or if it had healed already and left a dent, so I recently bought some Medihoney to see if it would help. I think it already healed.

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.

It is not unusual to develope scars on the nose as this tissue is very sebaceous ( oily ) and has large pores that make scars more problematic than on other areas of the face. As with all scars the best advice is to wait for final healing which can be up to a year or more to determine the next best approach. If there is an obvious and annoying problem in the nasal area the options can include, laser, hand dermabrasion, fillers, and even scar revision ( surgical) depending on the problem seen at close office examination. The problem can be approached earlier if an experienced surgeon sees the unlikly chance of future healing.
