Will filler help dents above eyebrows? (Photos)

Female 45 years old. Most my life i noticed these dents above my eyebrows. Lately they look deeper . Will a filler help fill the dents in?

An indentation above the eyebrow a.k.a. the Botox wrinkle is common for those that get Botox regularly, especially if you focus on the 11th but don’t do your forehead regularly. This can be easily corrected with a few treatments of botulinum injections to the frontalis muscles. Some people will opt to have those wrinkles and raise their eyebrow as high as possible. As with anything else in medicine, sometimes you just can’t have it all. You get the best you can, and a high raised eyebrow is worth a little wrinkle by the side.

Yes—filler can help improve dents above the eyebrows, but it depends on what is causing them.

Those depressions are often due to:

Natural anatomy (bone contour or muscle attachment points)
Soft tissue volume loss with age
Skin tethering in certain areas

If it’s primarily volume-related, a very small amount of filler placed conservatively can smooth the contour nicely.

However, this is a delicate area. The key is:

Conservative placement
Deep plane technique when appropriate
Avoiding overcorrection (which can look unnatural very quickly)
