10 weeks post op, are these stitches popping through? (photos)

Your incision looks very inflamed for 10 weeks after surgery.  You may be experiencing a "suture spit" and I urge you to see your plastic surgeon for an examination and diagnosis.

this is quite common and is not a problem. if the sutures start to stick through the skin, then you can just cut them or leave them and they will fall out on their own. it is uncommon for them to get infected so just because there is some redness, does not mean that it is infected. if you are concerned or it does not improve over 5-7 days then you should see your plastic surgeon. david berman md
