How long until persistent redness after co2 laser goes away? It's been 6 months- please help!

Redness following CO2 is inevitable- its like death and taxes. It has got to happen to give a good result. I normally say to patients that I WANT redness for at least 8 weeks. Why? Its not because I like it, but because the redness (vascular, blood flow) can aid in collagen stimulation. This is optimal treatment. Now, if your redness extends beyond 3 months, it is the Specialists duty to reduce this. It is super easy. 1. Avoid sun, use correct product. Do no irritate skin. Foundation of treatments. 2. Simple V beam treatments. Redness due to CO2 needs SHORT PULSE durations, ie. 3ms or shorter. Trade off? Possible bruising before resolution. If you take a selfie, you will see the difference each time you undertake a V beam. Occasionally I use an Alex 755, buy 95% of the time its PDL. Who ever did your CO2, should know how to fix redness.
