Can I go swimming while I'm on Accutane? Also, when do lots of breakouts happen before it starts to calm down?

I just started using accutane, still on my first week, can i go swimming while being on the medication? Also, i heard that accutane causes lots of breakouts before it starts to work, nothing of that sort has happened to me, when is that supposed to happen?

Of course you can swim while taking Accutane. That is absolutely fine. Make sure you sunscreen well, and put moisturizer on after, but you should be doing these things anyway. Many people will experience breakouts the first 1-2 months while on Accutane. This happens because the pores underneath the skin are changing. Some people don't have this occur but you may experience it in a few weeks. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and
