I just started using accutane, still on my first week, can i go swimming while being on the medication? Also, i heard that accutane causes lots of breakouts before it starts to work, nothing of that sort has happened to me, when is that supposed to happen?

You can't pause for 2-6 months and have the regimen work. Accutane dosing is based on a cumulative dose, which means you take it consistently, not haphazardly. Your body won't have any issues and there is no resistance built up, but basically, by stopping for those months, when you start again...
Your pills should come in a packaging that keeps them out of the light. This is important. You should not remove them out of the packaging and put them in another container or anything like that. I would not recommend taking isotretinoin that was exposed to sunlight. It's just not a good idea....
