What will happen to my pre-existing hairs after a hair transplant? (Photo)

I finally had a hair transplant about 10 days ago. It was about 4800 graft (that´s what the doctor said at least!). Does it look like one? 4800 grafts? Hopefully the grafts are securely anchored in and hairs are getting ready to shed. I had considerable amount of hair at the area of transplantation. I wonder what will happen to those pre-existing hair after hair transplantation. They were very thin and tender and I do not see any of them after the procedure. will they come back?

A bad hair transplant scar is hard to fix. FUE will not "debulk" this area. It may make it worse.  See a doctor for an examination and possible options.  Steroid injections may be an option.

3000 to 4000 FUE grafts at once may make your scalp look sparse or over harvested. If you have issues, please follow up with your doctor.  There isn't much you can do at this point other than wait for surrounding hairs to grow.

If you had a hair transplant surgery and have post operative questions, it is best to contact your doctor.  If you want to play cricket, make sure your wound has healed adequately.

There is no reason why you cannot have Scalp MicroPigmentation if you have diabetes (type 1 or 2).  See a doctor for a proper exam and understanding of why you were refused.

If you are losing lots of hair after a hair transplant surgery it may be shock hair loss. Photo of your hair is not generally helpful.  Seeing your doctor for a follow up exam is the best course of action if you are concerned.
