I am a 37 yo 2 children. 5’6 1/2 120lbs. Before kids, I was on the large side (34D) and I hated it. During pregnancy and breastfeeding I was a E and then down to a saggy deflated C cup.I asked for a lift w/o implants but my PS said that I needed them to gain a youthful shape. He suggested 275cc which I told him seemed too large. I asked for 215 cc and my PS had them ordered. After surgery, the nurse told me he put in 275cc! I am 1 week po, feel betrayed and look top heavy. What should I do?
Answer: Post Op - Appearance of Breast, Healing and Recovery Hi Eva201, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a breast augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the early stages of the healing process at 1 week post op. You will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues around the implants are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides and the implants drop to their final position, you will be able to see the final result of your breast augmentation surgery. Dropping of implants is part of the healing process and this occurs after the tissues surrounding the implants slowly relax, allowing the implants to settle into their final position. It can take about four to six months for the implant to drop down to their final position. Also, your breasts can drop at different rates. But if you are still concerned, you can always visit your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. This way, you will be reassured. Also, if after six months, you are not satisfied with the appearance of your breast, you can visit your plastic surgeon and discuss the possibility of revision surgery. Lastly, follow your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions and advice for faster healing and recovery. Answer: My surgeon put in larger implants than what I asked for causing me to look top heavy. What are my next steps? Although I understand your concerns, I would suggest that you do your best to stay emotionally even keeled; it is much too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed and (frankly) no need to feel "betrayed". Instead, remember that you chose your plastic surgeon for good reasons; best to continue to have confidence in him/her and the decisions made. Obviously, your breasts will continue to change over the course of the next several months; don't be surprised if you are much happier at that point than you are today. My best advice: time, patience, and close follow-up with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with longer term. I suggest that you evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed approximately six months from now; if you continue to have the same concerns, downsizing of breast implants and/or revision of the breast lift may be necessary to achieve an outcome that you are happier with.

Answer: Wait Thank you for your question. You are in your early healing stage. Your breasts will continue to change in the coming weeks. Please wait and re evaluate in 3-4 months. Usually I recommend minimum 6 months before to change anything

Answer: The implants placed are too large. Thank you for your question. I understand your concerns, however, it is much too early to make judgements about the breast implant sizes which were placed during your mastopexy procedure. There will be a gradual relaxation and settling process which takes place over a 3 to 6 month period. Keep in mind that the volume difference between 215cc and 275 cc is only 4 tablespoons. Please be patient, allow a full 3 months to pass before you make any final judgements about re-sizing.
