Hi, I've been tanning a lot lately and I had my procedure done on July 13, my dad said that it might be dangerous. Is it dangerous to be under the sun a lot after ear otoplasty?

There is little evidence to support the effectiveness of scar gels. However, some have proven to be harmful to healing of the incision. In the face of a red, painful incision, I would seek immediate evaluation by your surgeon to rule out an infection or abnormal healing response.

It sounds like your surgeon placed absorbable sutures behind your ears, and most of them likely fell out by now. If there are a few remaining stitches that are bothering you, visit your surgeon and he'll remove the rest.
