So if I build muscle in my glutes then the doctor won't have enough room to put fat right? How long should I stop weight lifting? Especially squatting, mean hip thrust good focus workouts
Answer: Should I stop squatting before the BBL? For most patients, the improvement in physique that can be made in 2 hours in the operating room cannot be achieved with diet and exercise. Traditional methods of transfer of fat into the gluteal muscles have been abandoned in favor of fat transfer though large cannula to areas directly visible beneath the skin. Squats and lunges AFTER Brazilian buttlift will only increase muscle bulk and definition, which is probably a good thing in most women looking to achieve a more projected, lifted buttock. However, just make sure that the body fat percentage is held in check or you will lose some of the fat.

Answer: Preoperative protocols Dear Kim80952, building your gluts is a great way to enhance your buttock region and I recommend to all of my BBL patients. It not only ads volume to the buttocks but lifts the buttocks in a more anatomic position. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Exercising before BBL If you are having a BBL, fat should never be transferred into the muscle, it has to stay in the subcutaneous layer of fat that sits above the muscle. Therefore the size of the muscle will have no difference on amount of fat place in the buttock. Make sure to consult with a plastic surgeon so they may examine you and do not have your placed inside the muscle, in some states, such as Florida, it is illegal for the surgeon to do this as it greatly increases the risk of fat embolism. Answer: Stopping exercise before BBL I think your argument is inaccurate and I would encourage you to continue exercising. That is typically not grafted in the gluteus muscle or at least most plastic surgeons try to avoid doing so. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
