Basically, over 5 years ago. I crashed into a tree on my bike, slicing my front left adult tooth in half. I eventually got a fake bit that adds onto the rest. Which is still in my mouth, (the top part) which the dentist had to kill the nerve off. That parts gone slightly grey and the fake part is stained yellowish..
Answer: Discolored tooth Hi:Unfortunately whitening alone will not solve the problem. Your best choice is to cover the entire tooth with either bonding or porcelain veneer.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Answer: Veneer or crown A porcelain veneer or crown is your best option. Whitening will not work on the bonding and since the tooth has had a root canal it would be best to cover the tooth with porcelain. It is weaker since it no longer has nerves.

Answer: Can I Whiten Restored and Fake Teeth Sadly tooth whitening will not give you the smile you want. Internal staining can be lightened with certain types of professional tooth whitening products. Unfortunately the dental materials used to repair your tooth during your accident can never be whitened. I would suggest porcelain veneers. A good cosmetic dentist can match your new porcelain veneers with the rest of your natural teeth giving you a natural, beautiful smile. Good luck!

Answer: Tooth Color Change Teeth that have had root canals and/or trauma may dis-color over time. If the whole natural tooth is OK, then internal bleaching can improve the shade but in your case, loosing so much tooth, I would suggest a non-metal post and ceramic crown such as eMax.
