I got my tattoo back in February 2018 on my upper left arm. It is 95% Black with white streaks. I’d like to get it removed but I have read mixed results about white ink. Some sites say it can be removed it can be removed with the Picosure laser while others say white ink is nearly impossible to be removed. I want to get it removed but I don’t want to have it lasered only to have the white streaks stay behind. Any help would be appreciated.

Answer: Laser Tattoo Removal - White Ink Laser removes tattoo by targeted and shattered up ink pigments from the skin, releasing it into the bloodstream to be flushed out by the immune system through the liver within 8-10 weeks. The number of treatment is depending on various factors (cover up vs complete removal, laser technology, physician's experience, tattoo size, ink saturation, colors, overall health, skin type, tattoo location, etc.). Black and Grey ink is the easiest to remove since dark color would absorb light energy more readily (black T-Shirt during the summer) than lighter color such as white. The less absorbtion of light based energy, the less ink pigments are being broken down. As always, seek laser tattoo removal treatment from a reputable professional healthcare provider in your area who is specialized in tattoos removal using both Nano/Pico laser technology.
