About to start Accutane but am going on vacation in 3 weeks?

My dermatologist has prescribed me Accutane. I told her I would be going to Thailand for a month in 3 weeks (summer in Thailand). She said as long as a wear sunscreen and loose tops with sleeves and as long as I am careful I should be fine to start Accutane before my trip. But I will be in the sun quite frequently as I am going to be volunteering with Elephants and snorkelling. I'm now beginning to think it may be a bad idea to start so close to when I am leaving. Just wanted another opinion.

It would depend on the mg dosage you are taking. To be honest I tell people to just take the medication and wear sunscreen. Because if we start trying to go around vacations and things like that, you'll never get it done. So really, do your best to take your meds and put on the sunscreen.
