Would long term indefinite use for isotretinoin at 20-40 mg per week be okay for extremely oily skin?

I have tried everything ( I am male) and even at 31 years old, I have genetically horrible oily skin. I am the 4th generation. My mom at 60 still has oily skin. Would it be okay to take isotretinoin indefinitely at 20-40mg per week to keep oil under control? I have done this for a couple of years now, but don't know about long term...

yes you can be on accutane long term but 20mg Is pretty high, usually we go down to 10mg daily or few times a week. combine with faicals, clear and brilliant, laser genesis, and bbl.  ath ome skincare and rollers are essential to decrease oil including the use of restorsea liquid gold (see emeragecosmetics.com).

Thanks for your question. It is very reasonable to consider a much longer course of accutane than the traditional 6 months. I would recommend working with your dermatologist to make sure you have no underlying risk factors for liver damage, no other medication use that would be harmful, and get your labs checked periodically.  You will want to find the lowest effective dose, and may do better in the long run on 10mg daily.  Please see an expert, and best of luck!
