Is scar revision worth it? (Photo)

Question

posted this before. I just schedule an appointment for scar revision. I Vertical forehead scar since i was 5, im 23 now. I had dot laser surgery 4 months ago. It didn't help. The thing that affects me is how i look at it from far away. It looks very indented. My scar was never closed before..it healed by itself. I understand scars won't go away but can that make it better from my perspective??

This can be improved with a combination of subcision, fillers or surgical revision.   Best, Dr. Emer.

Two options would be cut out the scar and stitch it together, it would result in thinner scar. This could then be lasered later for an additional improvement. The other option which will not marrow the scar is to lift the scar with subcision and inject permanet filler bellafil which will raise scar to the surface and eliminate the indent.

I am not surprised the laser did not work.  A scar revision should give you a very nice result.  You will still have a scar but it should be much less noticeable.Dr. Luong
