Best solution to nasolabial folds? (Photo)

Question

I feel like my nasolabial folds are really prominent for someone in their early 20s. What's causing this? Is it a structural issue or hollowness in the cheeks? What would be the best course of action to improve their appearance? Thank you!!

Lack or loss of mid-cheek volume for whatever reason(s) is responsible not only for primarily resulting in hollow cheeks, but for the secondary development of the nasolabial smile lines immediately below. That being the case, these two problems can generally and quite easily (in the hands of an experienced filler injector) be rectified nonsurgically using an appropriately robust HA volumizing filler. The treatment should take no more than about five minutes per side, and the results of this treatment are typically immediate and typically evoke an immediate "Wow!" response. Thank you for your question and photos. It is a little hard to say without at physical exam. It looks like you are a bit deep in the NLF. This can occur for a few reasons. Your malar fat pad looks like it has become a bit smaller and has moved downward. Sometimes augmentation of the malar pat pad area can help. Directly injecting the NLF area is the most common approach. There are a variety of materials that can be placed there. Please visit an experienced, well trained injector.

Nasolabial folds as well as the hollowness of the cheeks can be improved with fillers.  The treatment is done in the office with some of the results seen immediately.  You can also consider adding Morpheus8 treatments to improve overall skin tone and texture. Every individual on this planet has some form of nasal labial folds. However, in your case, like you mentioned, you have very hollow cheeks.  Those hollow cheeks are usually inherited from the father side of the family. In my opinion, I would restore the cheek volume to any degree you like, using your own fat, which is obtained from a particular part of your body where the fat is permanent, and cannot be lost by means of dieting or exercise.
