Cheek ripples? Help! (Photo)

Question

How can I get rid of these ripples in my cheeks. They are getting worse! I do have dimples which I've always had. But now it ripples all the way to the top of my cheeks! How can I get rid of this? Filler? Face lift? Any advice please? (I've never had any filler in my face by the way so it's not a complication of any of that!) help!

Facial sculpting and contouring of the face can be created with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Contour, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra, which would give improvement in facial balance. Fat or implants are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Hello Janine.  We would not suggest a facelift for you based on your concern and situation.  The little indentation directly below the cheekbone is created as we age and the fat in this area descends downward on the cheek (see 2nd photo at link).  It leaves behind a little pocket of volume loss that is pretty straightforward to improve with dermal fillers such as Restylane Lyft or Radiesse.

Good Afternoon! Filler may be a great first step to see if improvements can be made. More firm products like Juvederm Voluma or Restalyne Lyft would be good choices for more volume. You may need a few syringes to get noticeable changes. If filler works and you want a more long-lasting solution, fat transfer would work well. I would avoid a facelift or any surgical intervention until you've tried minimally-invasive options. Morpheus8 RF microneedling could be useful to tone the area. Hope this helps!
