I have porcelain crowns for over 15 years on 7 of my front teeth due to an accident, unfortanely I need to change them. Since this is a process that is going to need alot of money and time, i still have some stains on them. I regularly brush my teeth twice at least 2 minutes and floss them daily at night, but doesn't seems to help. Yes I am a smoker (but started to reduce) and coffee lover. Would a peroxide type of toothpaste help me keep the stains at bay until i get my treatment done?

Answer: How to remove stains on porcelain crown and veneers
Check with an expert dentist to check the crown, if the smell is coming from that area, it must be checked for gum pockets, inflamed gums, excess cement , the fit and if there was a previous root canal going bad! You must find the cause.Best of luck
If the gap you describe is visible and it traps food then the crown restoration has to be re-done. The reason for a full crown placement is to preserve a tooth structure, but in no way it should affect cosmetic appearance let alone have undercuts that trap food. Talk to your dentist or find...
