If a sneeze causes a hernia repair to fail, it probably was destined to fail at some time anyway. I doubt this happened. Nevertheless, visit your surgeon.
It is definitely possible, although unlikely, for a foreceful, vigorous sneeze to cause a suture to "undo" after a mesh repair of an incisional hernia. Patients with incisional hernias often have inherently weak tissue and placement of mesh is a not a complete guarantee that the tissues will heal properly. In fact, any over exertion or increase in pressure in the abdominal area can cause this, especially in the early postoperative period. With that said, you are best off returning to your surgeon for an examination so that the cause of your worsening pain can be determined. Best of luck. Mark Schwartz, M.D.
That is possible but not too likely. But the only way to know with some certainty is to be examined by your surgeon. Thanks for the question, best wishes.

The drain should not be removed until the drainage is reduced. Care has to be taken to insure that you do not get a drain infection. Continue to follow up with your plastic surgeon.

Although commonly performed, tummy tuck is a major cosmetic procedure with a moderate recovery. Inner thigh lift is not as commonly performed, though. It is also a major cosmetic procedure, but with a major recovery. If you have been appropriately educated about your...
Your surgeon is certainly aware of the collection of blood within your tissues, and the location you have marked (thanks for including photos) seems to correspond to the hip roll area liposuctioned rather than beneath the abdominoplasty skin flaps. Since liposuction creates tunnels and...
Your post is emblematic of the problems and issues which can arise when you have surgery abroad. You may well have a seroma but should be examined in person by a board certified plastic surgeon, not a GP. I do not recommend leaving the seroma alone based on an email with your overseas doctor....
