I am having rhinoplasty surgery this summer and decided not to go for a chin implant, but instead to rely on a mild to moderate chin advancement using genioplasty. I may not have sufficient time before the rhinoplasty to find a good sliding genioplasty surgeon, but have already booked the rhinoplasty. I was looking over people's reviews on genioplasty and they claim that it often changes the look of their nose when the chin bone is shifted. Is this true? Please note: I do not want an implant

It is possible to cause damage to the nose 3 months after rhinoplasty. It is unlikely any permanent damage was caused, but I would recommend following up with your surgeon for an exam. I hope this helps, and I wish you the best of luck.
