Will the chemicals in the pool burn my skin? I'm on 30mg Accutane

I have been on accutane for 3 months and I’m on a 30mg pill. I’m scared that the chemicals in the pool will burn my skin because it’s been very sensitive to face washes and very dry and red.

Hello and thank you for your question. One of the side effects of Accutane is dryness of the skin. If your skin is sensitive even when washing your face with water and mild soap, the chemicals in the pool may cause burning of your skin. I would recommend a consultation by a board certified dermatologist for evaluation of your progress and discussion of appropriate treatment. Best of luck.
