I have recurrent boils that have scarred my legs and thighs horribly. Will laser hair removal help?

I have been suffering from this for almost a year. Boils appear on my legs and when they heal, they leave a dark brown scar that does no go away. I have tried two different courses of antibiotics and the boils are still recurring! Is it bacterial or ingrown hair related? I do not know what to do anymore. Please help me! I want the scars to go away and the boils to stop coming!

Itchiness is a common reaction after LHR, I  recommend a low dose antihistamine prior and post LHR it helps with edema and itchiness. But if the itchiness continues, contact a Dermatologist in your area.

You can have laser hair removal. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best. It will take a series of treatments to get improvement. Please see an expert for an evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.
