Can you use bonding for adult teeth that are about to fall out?

Tooth colored composite resin bonding has many uses.  One is to splint teeth together to decrease their mobility.If you have a loose tooth, the first thing you should do is visit your dentist and determine why it is loose.The looseness can be a gum problem, where you have lost bone around the tooth from gum, periodontal disease, it can be a fractured tooth or it can be from grinding or clenching your teeth.Once you have had a thorough exam then options for treatment can be discussed. You may lose the loose tooth however by having them all evaluated you may save your other teeth.

remember bonding does not mean fixing.  what i feel is ,yr loose tooth is because of perio/gum problem . it this case bonding will not work . contact periodentist ASSP, before tooth come out.

"Bonding" or what is known in the business as "direct veneering" is solely for changing the appearance or shape of a tooth by applying composite resin to the tooth.  It is not a "glue-ing" thing.  If the tooth is loose, see a dentist ASAP to either fix what is making it loose, or prepare for it's loss.  Planning makes a big difference on the final result.  Waiting until things go bad means more $ and likely not as nice a result in the end.
