Why are my stitches numb? 2 days post septoplasty.

I am not clear why you would have stitches on the tip of your nose, but it may suggest that you had a more extensive surgery beyond a septoplasty and sinuses.Depending on exactly what surgery was done, numbness after nasal surgery is common and expected in some circumstances. This is due to the tissues being elevated, which separates the nerve endings from the surface of the skin. Over time, those nerve endings reconnect to the skin and the sensation should improve.  This process can take several weeks to months, however, so it requires some patience.Follow up closely with your surgeon during the healing process.  Good communication is key to ensuring a good recovery.Best of luck.
