Morpheus8 before or after pregnancy?

Question

I recently saw a provider to address melasma, tightening, and excess fat under chin, and she suggested Morpheus8. I scheduled an appointment, but my husband and I have decided to try for another baby. I had melasma pre pregnancy, but it did worsen during pregnancy and has not resolved after. I called to ask my provider if I should wait, and she said to go ahead w Morpheus. My concern is I'll be spending a lot of money and my issues will come back. Any advice is appreciated. I'm a 37 y/o female.

Thank you for your question! I always refer any questions regarding pre-pregnancy and pregnancy to your OBGYN on whats best. However, you can absolutely do it either before or after your pregnancy depending upon your financial situation and needs. I recommend that you make an in-person consultation to speak to your provider regarding a treatment plan that works best for your specific situation.

This is a very good question.   Considering all the possible hormone and weight related skin changes that can occur with each pregnancy, I would recommend that you wait until at least 6 weeks after your final pregnancy.  In addition, laser treatment has some greater efficacy for melasma compared to Morpheus in our experience.
