Is There A Way to Shorten Face with Surgery? (photo)

Looking at your photo, you have very good symmetry between the lower third, middle third, and upper third of your face. Your chin is not too long and shortening it would have a harmful aesthetic effect. Trying to make a certain hairstyle possible with extensive surgery is not a well thought out plan.

There are cranio-facial procedures for shortening the mid-face or lower 1/3, but they are extremely invasive when compared to "normal" cosmetic surgical procedures.  Based on your picture, your facial proportions appear normal and so I would not suggest pursuing a procedure to shorten the face.

On a practical basis, you can vertically shorten your chin by 3mms through an intraoral reduction genioplasty. Shortening the entire jawline is more technically challenging and may not be worth that effort. The greatest visible change is what would be done in the chin.
